Terrible Experience – Avoid Hotel Parquemar/Columbia if You Value Good Customer Service I recently had a very disappointing experience at Hotel Parquemar/Columbia that I feel compelled to share. My family friends, who are 65 years old and do not speak the local language, had a reservation confirmed directly through the hotel’s website. When they arrived, the hotel claimed that there was no room available for them, blaming it on an alleged booking error. Instead of helping us resolve the issue, the staff insisted it was my responsibility to sort out the problem myself, even though it was clearly a mistake on their part. When I suggested that they should verify the reservation and resolve the overbooking issue, they simply ignored me and showed a complete lack of interest. The situation escalated to the point where the hotel staff threatened to call the police—which I agreed to, because I wanted an official record of their negligence. When the police arrived, they understood that the problem was due to the hotel’s overbooking and stated there was nothing they could do. What made the situation even worse was the complete lack of compassion from the hotel staff. My friends, both elderly and unable to communicate in the local language, would have been left sitting on the sidewalk with nowhere to go if I hadn’t been there to help them. The hotel staff was not only unhelpful but also rude and dismissive throughout the entire ordeal. This experience was shocking and incredibly disappointing. I strongly recommend anyone considering staying at Hotel Parquemar/Columbia to think twice. The lack of accountability and customer service is completely unacceptable. If they treat elderly guests this way, it’s clear they have no regard for their customers’ well-being. I will never recommend this place to anyone and will make sure others are aware of this unacceptable treatment.

Run-down place that has seen better days. I used to go there often some 15 years ago, it now is a shabby and drab haunt frequented by Russians who are meeting estate agents.

the most terrible service. The staff at the restaurant is terrible, especially the woman, who in fact should just clean the tables, took the fruits from our table that we wanted to eat, shouted at us that we were not alone here. And as a result, she just took a peach out of her mouth.
