Hotel Parque Serra da Lousã

Didn't stay here. Just stopped for coffee while on a cycle. Did check out the sport and recreation facilities on the advice of a friend. It didn't disappoint. Very suitable as a quiet retreat for team building. Would suit sports teams/clubs for training, etc. The gym is very well equipped. Well worth checking out their site.

It was recommended to us by friends and it didn't disappoint us. Perfect place to stay with young kids. The internal swimming pool is great, nice kids area for them to play, inside and outside. Plenty of things to do, walking, running, cycling, watching animals... Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is also very good, plenty of food with some local products that are worth trying.

The hotel feels like it's stuck in time since it's construction in 2015, where little to no maintenance being performed. However, the worse issue is that no only there is low staff, the staff do minimum effort for anything. The worse event was without a doubt having been provided an extra room badge, with literally 0 verification, no name, no current badge, nothing. I could have asked the badge of any room and it would for sure be provided. This also happens for anything else you request in terms of consumables, you can easily add to someone bill and no validations are performed. The bar is more of a list feature than anything, they don't bother to restock the drinks, wash the cups, etc. For example, they usually have around 4x 33cl cups, after those are used, that no longer is an option. Even draft beer keg finished one day at around 22h, with no replacement. We reported that the AC was not working in some common rooms and no action or comcern was taken. This and previous reviews also resulted in a lack of confidence to have lunch or dinner at the hotel, considering the prices. Overall, a great the hotel is a great space and environment, shadowed by staff that don't care at all and are only there to meet their 8h shift.
