Hotel Pazo O Rial

Great place for us to relax and finish our trekking holiday around northern Spain. The setting is lovely with it actually having been a small castle come stately home. The facilities were good and the pool clean. The service was excellent throughout, but the hotel director was a cut above, being friendly and helpful. Local towns and villages have plenty of restaurants and beaches over on the nearby islands (attached by road) are great. Plenty of running opportunities too if that floats your boat, like me.

This past summer, a large group of friends and I stayed at Pazo O Rial for a wedding in a neighboring town. We loved our stay! The pool area is beautiful and we had a great time exploring the historic building. It helped that the weather was gorgeous that week. We were extremely well taken care of by all the staff. The service was exceptional. We often ate at the hotel as well, including one large group dinner which they graciously accommodated. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all homemade, delicious, and comforting, with plenty of options. Our stay was so idyllic, a few of us stayed a few extra days. It was the perfect European country getaway. Thank you to all at Pazo O Rial for such a relaxing, comfortable, and memorable time!

Pro: Great value for money, clean rooms, comfortable, great swimming pool. Breakfast is very nice with variety of options + prompt service. The manager is super friendly and attentive. He shared with us the history of the place and very attentive to our needs. We have 5 years old travel with us and they also added extra bed in our room. We also enjoyed aperitivo at the balcony by the bar: nice sunny area. Room to improve: We had lunch on the first day and stew meat was a bit dry. The fish dish was okay and dessert was decent. There is also a nice 6km run close to the hotel by the sea. Overall we had a great time and would definitely return again.
