Hotel Pennington By Rhombus

Stayed for a night and was surprised with an upgrade due to it being my first time staying at their hotel. Comfortable bed and large washroom. Very Spacious for 1-2 persons. Overall, even though they weren't a 5 star hotel, I had a wonderful stay. Only a 4min walk from Causeway Bay Station MTR. Staff were very friendly. I happened to stay at a time of the Civil unrest protest surrounding Causeway Bay area. The staff were very understanding and assisted me in getting to the airport on time.

The hotel room is great and the location is marvelous. The staff were help and very polite, especially, the conceige. However, I find the mattress of the bed too firm. They provide 2 types of pillows, one firm and one soft which is great. Despite putting no disturb sign, the cleaning staff keeps knocking at the door. Would be 4.5 stars if the waiter at the bar is polite. He literally asked what am I doing here...

This hotels need to improve on the cleanliness. My room was dusty as in someone hasn’t been living there for quite some time. The airduct on the bedroom and bathroom was full of dusts. There’s a promotion in the afternoon at the lounge bar, buy 1 get 1, something that you have to try. The bartender makes a good cocktail and they’re friendly.
