We had such a nice weekend here! The location is perfect—super close to Bucharest but still really relaxing. Everything was great: the spa, the food, the views and the staff. Rupesh from the spa was super kind and helpful, and the restaurant staff were also really friendly. Totally recommend giving this place a try—we’ll definitely be coming back!
Beautiful and relaxing stay. Rodney, the guy from the restaurant, is very kind and friendly. All the staff work hard to make the stay pleasant — and they succeed. We will definitely come back!
The 5 star version of the Pestera hotel has just opened at the beginning of 2025. The design of the hotel is amazing and all rooms have an amazing view over the mountains. The saunas and pools are also beautifully executed. The price of the rooms includes breakfast with a great variety to choose from. Also, entry to the pools and saunas are granted and everything in the minibar is included. I would say the stay at hotel Pestera can end up being a bit pricey. The rooms are pretty expensive and the price not justified when looking at the finishes in the room. BUT the rooms are big, the view always beautiful and when you use all that comes along with the room you got yourself a decent deal. Also, the room service comes 2 times a day and freshes everything up and refills the fridge. One of the real problems is that the new restaurant in the 5 stars hotel is very expensive and the portions not always big or the food tasty. More than once, the soups were too cold and I could tell the chef was not a romanian cook. For many of the foods, there isn’t always a side dish so you have to buy that separately. The drinks are also very expensive and you end up paying as much as 6€ for just a bottle of water of 750 ml. All in all, if you want a complete lunch and a drink, you will probably pay around 30-40€ per person. This is a lot for most romanian guests. I think a bit more attention to details would make this place exquisite. For example, there was a little guest gift at the end, but only one per room. This works out well for couples and families but not for individual guests who share a room. To sum it up: very nice location for a nice 5 star hotel where one could maximize the profit and the good feeling for the clients by offering a bit more fairness and grace to their clients.
