Hotel Petit Palais

Very appreciative of the staff who prepared a room for us at 23:00 after a bad episode with a previous accommodation. The location is superb and the rooms were comfortable.

This hotel has a great location on the beach and is close to restaurants and shopping. The room was spacious and bed very comfortable. My only complaint is the lack of a coffee machine provided in our room. The breakfast food selection was very good, but the coffee provided was weak and tasteless. This may have been due to only one server. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

*Bad smell in their rooms* We stayed at Hotel Petit Palais on Lido for 4 nights at the end of March 2025. From the second night onward, there was a very bad and strong smell that filled the bathroom and the room at night and would go away in the morning. Until the third night it was unclear whether the smell would return. We kept the room window open for ventilation, but the cars passing by disturbed our sleep. On the last day, it was horrible because the smell was present even during the day when we checked out. Because their service was good, we had not expected a cold reaction to this unpleasant experience when we shared it at checkout, as if it were normal to have this smell. They said it could happen due to fluctuations in tide levels and apologized. The complaint was not taken seriously, and we were asked why we had not come before. This was very unusual, as we had never experienced anything like this before. We did not expect a 4-star hotel to have this kind of problem.
