Hotel Peña Florencia

Great place nice staff very secure location walking distance to everything. Limited parking for only 3 maybe 4 cars. They definitely need at least a fan in the rooms. They would do awesome if they had their restaurant up and running already but they are working towards that.

1. The ladies working there were so wonderful and helpful. They got us more blankets, towels, and even a little heater (the rooms don’t have AC or a heater). And they even called us a taxi for the airport ($500 pesos). 2. Careful with the restaurant that’s attached to it. I wanted a glass of wine on the terrace. I asked if they had wine (it wasn’t on the menu but they said yes they have it). They got me a glass and didn’t tell me the price. When I went to go pay they charged me $195 pesos. If you go to the vineyards out there you’ll see they don’t even charge us that much, a glass out there was $70 pesos. Quite frankly the community up-charges wayyyy too much, this restaurant was no different. So if you’re a tourist, be ready to be up-charged.

The rooms are fine, although the cleaning wasn't very good. We stayed for two days, and when they cleaned it, it was very "superficial" since it was still very dirty in some places. Regarding the noise, you can hear the staff's voices a lot. Before they cleaned, I was coming home from the center and left some things I bought, but unfortunately, I couldn't find them anymore. If you're looking for a place to spend just one night, it's perfect, but for more days, not so much because of the cleanliness. I hope they improve this, and ensure they don't take things that aren't theirs.
