Hotel Piccolo Mondo

We were recommended this hotel by some friends — and they were absolutely right! This place is truly special: an oasis of peace and comfort, perfect for relaxing and disconnecting. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. The service was outstanding, with kind and attentive staff who made us feel at home every day. The atmosphere, the food, the little details — everything contributed to a fantastic holiday. We would absolutely love to come back!

We had the pleasure to stay here in September 2024 and it was stunning! The views are expansive and absolutely beautiful. The pool is a great place to relax for the day perched high on the cliff overlooking the blue sea with a drink in my hand. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had anything we needed and were comfortable during our stay. We even brushed up on our Italian and learned some new words from them. We were treated like family. The food was simple yet delicious and the breakfast spread was the perfect way to start each day with homebaked goods and the most perfect eggs! The view from the dining room can't be beat either. Blue sea and sky as far as one can see! If you are coming to Castro and want to stay at a cute family run place with the most amazing views and friendly staff, this is the place to stay. I look forward to returning here one day. A special shout out to Alessandra who assisted me with a package that needed to be shipped to me in the US. She went above and beyond to make sure it was packaged securely and shipped off to me.

This hotel is an understated, authentic and rustic gem. Its setting is spectacular and its amenities are excellent (pool, access to ocean and grottoes, tennis court etc). It is within walking distance to the charming Old Town of Castro and the stunning Marina is close by as are other interesting landmarks/towns. The staff, competently lead by Alexandra, are responsive and proactive in relation to any issues. Their recommendations for restaurants and day trips are outstanding ensuring an authentic and local experience. My only concern is for people with mobility issues as the hotel is set on a steep site with many stairs. Overall, a wonderful experience - and good value too!
