Hotel Plantación

This place was heavenly. From the minute you walk in you feel cared for. The room was spacious, the bed super comfortable with high quality linens, the view tremendous from the balcony (we were in room 3). We saw a ton of beautiful birds right from our balcony. There's a wonderful hot tub, tea service at night and the breakfast was amazing and very filling. If you want to treat yourself well come to this hotel!

Likely the nicest place I’ve ever stayed. Like all the reviews mention, the rooms, common areas, and grounds are beautiful. The hotel really effectively blends beauty and comfort (the beds are so comfortable!) with an approach to minimizing environmental impact. For example, they have ponchos you can borrow, filtered water with reusable bottles, recycling and compost, etc. we’re vegetarians but I didn’t even realize they would have amazing vegetarian food. I regret not getting to try quite everything on the menu. The included breakfast is beyond exceptional. To top it off, the staff are so friendly and helpful. You feel so comfortable and the vibe is great.

We had a lovely stay here. This hotel deserves its high rating. We weren’t sure what to expect from the hotel given its in a relatively small town with not a lot of competition but the hotel came as a pleasant surprise. We were greeted with a welcome drink of our choice and someone helped take our bags to our room. We really liked the idea of thinking about your impact as a traveller more. Small things such as choosing your towel for your stay and the little tips through the hotel were nice and not too intrusive if you decided to ignore them. The room was large and comfortable with a spacious shower and nice hot water. We were given a selection of snacks which were complimentary and every evening we were given a thermos full of hot water and some tea and coffee. On top of this the hotel offers free breakfast (which was delicious) and a restaurant for lunch and dinner which is really nice (note there are only vegetarian options). They also have a Japanese bath which is free to use with booking and again adds to the stay being relaxing and rejuvenating. If you’re arriving in Jardin by bus with your luggage, it’s very easy to get a Tuk Tuk or taxi from the bus station and costs about 6,000COP. On our way back, the hotel called one for us.
