Hotel Playa Bonita

Impossible to sleep 5 minutes. Walls thin and loud coughing plus nonstop banda music. Walls shaking all night . Everything in hotel super old. Employees seem accustomed to constant complaints. Not their fault, place needs major remodeling. Paid and reserved a room with ocean view. Instead arrived and was told only room available was above pool, with the loudest screaming kids I've ever heard, nonstop. Do not stay here, it will ruin your vacation, and Mazatlan is a beautiful place.photo, That was my view.

Looks pretty from the outside but not good inside. The water pressure in some rooms is horrible. Want a hot shower after a day on the beach or the pool? Ha ha look somewhere else. Warm water at best. Want to just get to your room and relax? Ha ha walk up the stairs because the elevator is broken. Have your hands full from shopping and ready to come back to the hotel? Drop your bags to get searched and don't forget your hand sanitizer. Need change to pay a cab or delivery and ask the front desk? Nope not going to happen. Don't expect to get change at the bar either and the staff is rude. Beds are stiff pillows are flimsy. Towels are tough. Oh 250 peso deposit on the TV remote. Expect to hear everything on your floor the doors are weak and there is a small wooden window above the toilet. No alcohol is allowed in the hotel. No microwave or refrigerator. All in all go somewhere else.

My first negative public review but I don’t want anyone else to fall for the trap of getting the Ocean View Penthouse #437. The air conditioner shuts off at intervals every day. We are calling the staff 3-4 times a day to flip the breaker back on. You can only access the breaker with their screwdriver and we may have to wait an hour for the staff to get here to turn the air back on. I just got the air back on at 10:46 pm. They will tell you to call 7575 for maintenance and during 20 calls I have made they have only picked up once @ 7575. The penthouse is full of bugs and you must keep your shoes on at all time. First day, upon entrance you could smell the bug spray, I spent the first 3 hours trying to get them to return my money or find another room because what they sold me and what I am living in is a vast difference. According to them they are sold out and they were unable to return my money at the hotel and I would have to call their toll free number, even though I booked through the hotel website. I leave tomorrow and have never been so excited to get away from any place. I will return to Mazatlan the people are beautiful but never to this all inclusive. I have heard nothing but complaints from the other guest.
