Hotel Ponta Verde Praia do Francês

Great place to stay. The hotel is conveniently located literally 10 steps from the beautiful beach “Praia do francês. The hotel is very comfortable, rustically and originally decorated with traditional local artifacts. The breakfast which is included, is very delicious . The staff is very polite and courteous. I would totally stay here again and highly recommend it. However don’t order drinks from the hotel or the hotel’s restaurant because they are very stingy with the alcohol, better to go elsewhere for drinks.

Great location and amazing breakfast. The rooms are quite small though. The bathroom is really small. There are no power outlets in the room, how you are supposed to charge your phone??? This is frustrating.

Very pretentious hotel that doesn't deliver. Lots of bureaucracy - e.g. you need to use a wrist band all the time, even if it's not an all inclusive place. Almost nobody in the hotel speaks English, there's no information available in English at all, not even the menu at the restaurant. Talking about the restaurant, the breakfast is not good, bad quality coffee, tasteless food. Dinner in the same place was also a deception, small portions, bad service (took them about 10 minutes to bring me a draft beer, which I returned because it was very bad tasting, maybe even rotten). There was live music of a very questionable quality. The beach in front of the hotel is disgusting. There was less than a meter of distance between each group of people. Anyway, I ordered a chair to stay (a compliment as a guest on the hotel), but there was none available at the moment. Apart from the crowd, lots of litter in the beach sand as well as jellyfish. I had a bad luck to come in a high tide week, to find out that the famous "natural pools" are not available in these occasions, and you can't swim in any beach due to the heavy waves. You have nothing to do, basically. Don't come to praia do francês or praia do Dunga, it's a total deception.
