Hotel Port Royal

Great location in Old Quebec City - convenient to many restaurants and cafes - short walk to all Old Quebec attractions - extremely friendly and helpful bi-lingual staff that pleasantly indulged our attempts at conversing in French. Terrific bar for late afternoon cocktails after touring all day. Would certainly stay here again when next in Quebec!

I can’t cherish the location enough, we didn’t move the car for three days as everything was so close that we could just walk anywhere, not to mention we had a stroller too! A nice restaurant great for both eating and drinking late night. Don’t expect much from the hotel itself, outdated rooms and a very small elevator, small parking where you won’t find a spot if you do late check in and they charge you $25. Although there’s a public parking very close by that charge you only $15 per day.

Well located boutique hotel in the lower old city, well situated beside the charming neighborhoods. The building is currently being renovated and we were advised upon arrival to use bottled water for tooth brushing etc. housekeeping was excellent - room was kept well made. Confusing shower controls and water pooled in the shower due to apparently shoddy installation of the tile floor. Bit noisy in the early evening but quieted down by midnight in our first floor room. Second night we were awakened by fire alarms at 0230. No announcements made and no explanations. We were allowed back into our rooms by the fire department after about 45 min. Despite these issues I would probably consider staying here again.
