Hotel Posada de Tampico

Attached to Gamma for 1/2 the price. Rooms could use an upgrade but nothing to really complain about... other than the ceiling in the shower being LOW enough for my to hit my head while moving.

What a great surprise to find all of the in room amenities to be of such high quality. The bedding and especially the pillows were amazing as well as the towels and the delicious morning coffee.

Would not recommend! The one positive was that the service staff was really polite and helpful, however, the front desk staff was not. As for everything else, it was pretty bad. They messed up our reservations and overcharged us. The food was not great and they didnt knot bring us everything that was supposed to come with our order. The rooms were old and damp and very humid. Our ac in our first room was broken, so we asked to be switched to another room. Ac was broken in that room as well. It was hard for myself, my husband, or my kids to sleep at night because it was really hot and humid. When we let the front desk staff know, they basically said they couldn't do anything for us. If you are passing your hotel off as a prestigious hotel, then you should make sure that you are delivering on that promise. If your guests are uncomfortable and unhappy, you should be doing your job to fix the problem, not ignoring it. Especially when you charge an expensive price for an experience that you don't deliver.
