Hotel Poseidon

Charming hotel founded in 1955, so don’t expect to find the most modern amenities. Staff are very welcoming, helpful and full of smiles. We felt at home from the moment we entered, just don’t expect everything to be perfect. Our room was large to say in the least for any hotel, with a beautiful balcony overlooking the town and water of Positano. The room overall is dated but in good shape, and the washroom has all amenities needed albeit aged. Breakfast is fantastic, with tables overlooking the town and water, and service is impeccable. Hotel is high on the hill and about a 7 minute walk down to the beach. You can either walk the road or use steps down, just be prepared coming back up as there are many stairs and inclines. Loved our stay, thank you to all at the hotel!

This hotel is everything it claims and so much more. Location truly is everything in this respect. Most importantly, the staff is absolutely amazing. We are grateful for the opportunity to relax and enjoy one of the best spots in this beautiful area. We researched extensively and chose the best! The service, quality, and recommendations are perfect. We took a day trip to Capri, cooking class, and a day at the beach. Our day started off so exquisitely every morning with a cappuccino, fresh custom juice, custom omelette, and all the Italian pastries we could want! The rooms were so comfortable we needed to be wary of time and not oversleep. The views looked like a painting and we didn’t even order a sea view. Our area had everything we could have wanted in this stay and I don’t think we needed to go to other areas of Amalfi since we had the best beach, view, shopping, and restaurants!

Everything at the Poseidon was perfect. The warm welcoming staff made us feel at home the minute we walked in. Everyone knew us by name immediately. Our room was spacious, very clean with all the amenities needed. Bathroom towels were large and fluffy. Shower products lush and plentiful. Our terrace was the best feature of the room overlooking all of Positano. The pool and staff were very welcoming and the entire feel of the hotel is serene. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Positano!!
