Hotel Praia Marina by RIDAN Hotels

The front desk staff was great we had an issue with the first room and they where very fast at rectifying the problem. The room very comfortable. Beds bathroom are clean. The room is a little rundown. But just cosmetic. It's comfortable and safe. The location is right across the street from the beach. Breakfast is ok.

This hotel has the potential to be a great hotel with a restaurant and located across the road from the beach. However, the rooms need some major renovations. The room we had was a suite with a bedroom and sitting area, but the bathroom must have at some point had a window above the tub which was papered over and subsequently painted. The paper was cracked in places making it less than private - fortunately the former window looked out on the street and was high enough that the likelihood that your privacy could be compromised was minimal. The plumbing seemed to lack any substantial hot water. The shower started off cold and progressed to barely a semblance of warm. The air conditioning never did seem to cool the room and even though there was A/C ventilation in the bedroom, there didn't seem to be any air flow. The kitchenette was well equipped but the aerator on the faucet was so forceful that pouring a glass of water usually resulted in a wet counter top. The staff were friendly and polite and when we pointed out that there was no shampoo or body wash in the shower they quickly took care of it. All in all, the hotel was decent enough it just requires some major renovations.

I advise you Check the pricing even after you book because it was almost $200 euros cheaper if we booked last minute and they did nothing to adjust the cost for us. Trash was not taken out upon arrival in our room. We did not have sufficient pillows, sheets or blankets for the twin beds for our children. The breakfast ends at 10am and we showed up at 9:30. The eggs were all gone and the waffles were gone. We asked for more eggs and waffles but they only brought eggs. Kids were disappointed with no waffles. The coffee was out and we had to wait to get it refilled. My daughter also lost her Apple Watch and when we called they said to email them the description and they would ship it to us but we never heard back from them. The location is great and probably the biggest pro but I’m extremely disappointed by the service altogether. Extremely unacceptable on so many levels.
