Beautiful boutique hotel with friendly staff. I stayed in the basement because of the price, but the room itself was very nice. The breakfast was great to with freshly made cappuccinos😋. Location is also great, 10 minutes walk to the metro station of the blue (B) line.
Our room was very good value for the location (quiet street and nice, safe walk to the metro or bus). Garden and exterior is lovely too! It was much cheaper than alternatives in Rome so for this reason, I give it a 4! It was in the basement so not great, but you could open the window to air and we just left it open throughout the day! Shower issues reported years ago are still present today, with drain clogging up if you take too long! The cistern was broken so I could hear water trickling but was unheard with the bathroom door closed. Breakfast is okay if you like sweets/Italian breakfast. If you like continental, you need to be there before 07:45 and be prepared to avoid eggs (sometimes they were cold and runny!)
Good hotel for a short stay, but not 4 star at all. The room size was okay, and the bed was pretty comfortable, and looked clean. The main problem was the air-con. Although it was set to a temperature of 23 degrees Celsius, it was pretty cold, nowhere near 23. The room itself was not in the main building, it was in the back of the garden, partly dug into the ground. The electric lock system is pretty confusing too, there is no visual nor audible feedback if it is closed or not from the outside, which was a big problem for me. Toilet was leaking a very slight amount of water. And it takes about 6-8 mins for the water to turn warm for a shower, which is a waste of water. If you prefer to take an ice-cold shower, go for it tho. The positives: Staff❤️. Both receptionist I’ve met were very helpful, and kind. If not for the quality of the room, easy 5 star rating. Breakfast was also enjoyable, fresh and a very warm coffee. All in all, the price paid did not reflect the quality I expected, so 3 stars given.
