I loved Hotel Prinzregent! So much more character than hotels near the conference center. Definitely worth the walk. All of the staff that I interacted with were fantastic. Breakfast was one of the best parts, and the two dinners I had at the hotel restaurant were very tasty.
The hotel is charming set in a pleasant suburb of Munich. The courtyard with its fountain is a delight. The staff are friendly and speak excellent English (so much better than my German!). The hotel rooms are a little dated but the beds are comfortable and the shower strong. The bathroom extractor fan sounds a little like a jet taking off but this is a small grumble. A pleasant stay in a friendly hotel and very handy for the conference centre which is a short walk away
Everything about this hotel is excellent except for the beds... All of us in our group had the same issue - was this a military academy or something? Why are the beds so hard and why are the blanket and pillows so tiny? Without exaggeration this might be the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on, including tent cots. Other than that the hotel is great - lots of charm, great staff, and a nice location.
