We walked into this hotel, very weary, in need of somewhere to stay the night. The staff could not have been kinder or more helpful. One of the receptionists even gave us a very good suggestion concerning where to park our car. The interior of the hotel is very attractive and I found it very relaxing after a hot, stressful day. The room was very comfortable and quiet, overlooking the terrace at the back. Breakfast was good with some nice fresh fruit and excellent coffee. I was little disappointed with the pastries and cakes though. All in all, however, a very good experience and excellent location for visiting the historical centre of Perugia. I would definitely go there again.
Excellent service, location, cleanliness, and design. The breakfast is good and air conditioning works well. The special room with private hot tub is a nice bonus.
Total disappointment for the value for money. Although I would give them just one point more if I didn't pay what I paid. I didn't have time and power to scandalise and beg for improvements but there were plenty of issues. Booking.com promised a city view. My room was located on the ground floor and faced a narrow street with a nightclub. It was incredibly noisy at nights. They mention refurbishment and interior design all the time but didn't invest enough in soundproof. Also my room was next to the kitchen and the restaurant. The staff in the evenings was very loud, and again, no soundproof, all sounds from the corridor coming to the room flawlessly. As they mention the refurbishment all the time, it indeed looks pretty. Cleanliness was OK. Some staff members were friendly and polite. My taster-size creams and water bottles were not consistently refilled every day. The gym is there but unpopular. It's little, without enough variety. But the bottles with water are consistently there. The cleaner left the bidet plugged so when I used it I couldn't unplug and flush, it was uncomfortable. I had an issue with a lost item. My bad, somehow it ended up under the drawer but I can't say the staff's response was caring and efficient. The cleaner said she didn't see anything, that means she doesn't clean the floor under the drawer. At first they just tried to convince me I left it elsewhere. Obviously, just not to be bothered much. Then I asked to show the CCTV just to prove that the item was in the hotel. They have no CCTV at the main entrance. Considering the dodgy nature of the street they're located at, it's unacceptable, I didn't feel safe. The street is located at it's noisy, dodgy, doesn't feel safe. The restaurant deserves a separate mention. The breakfast is average, nothing special, modest variety. A queue next the one and only coffee machine, typical. Not enough room, quite small space for the buffet table. The restaurant for dinner was also a poor choice. I didn't like the food, and had stomach problems after their gazpacho. The manly waiters showed cold machismo instead of hospitality. Too expensive overall for the experience.
