Hotel Puerta de la Luna

A beautiful hotel perfectly situated in the heart of the old town and close to the cathedral. Friendly helpful staff; very comfortable rooms; nice pool in the central courtyard; and excellent restaurant (see separate review for Acebuche restaurante). One word of warning and a small gripe. The parking is conveniently located behind and under the hotel; but there are only eight or nine places and they are not all easily accessible. So it might be worth calling the hotel reception in advance to be sure you can get in. And the small gripe is that there are only 8 sun beds around the swimming pool and people are hovering like vultures to grab one when free. I’m sure the management doesn’t want to spoil the aesthetically attractive courtyard by having too many sun beds, but they could manage a few more! Despite this, very happy to highly recommend the hotel. Very very good value: 250 euro for a suite for 2 nights including breakfast (early July).

Beautiful hotel in one of the most gorgeous Andalusian villages. An old 17th mansion turned modern hotel in a respectful way, good breakfast, and swimming pool too. Right in downtown Baeza, 2 minutes from the Cathedral and the early modern University.

Reception reception could be a bit warmer, if you ask for a quieter room they give you an answer of you booked a standard room, not appropriate can easily be said in another way. We did not feel like paying for breakfast. Rooms need an upgrade. We paid 85 euros without breakfast and I saw 55 euros to book the same day. So our reservation did not seem that standard. I do not recommend it.
