Nico at the reception was such a welcoming professional presence after a hot day on the Camino! He really went above and beyond.
In the process of reopening after 5 years closure we stayed in the first week. Staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a fairly large place but very few of us there as most Pilgrim Apps say place is still shut and I guess it’s not on people’s radar yet. Bedroom is standard hotel style with comfortable beds, large bathroom and a couple of chairs. I ate in the dinning room with a few others and food was your normal Pilgrims menu which worked just fine. Same with breakfast.
Large clean rooms. Location an annoying 500m from town centre through an industrial estate. The hotel seems designed for a busy city centre and so is strangely empty most of the time in this small town. Staffing seems to be an issue- the manageress was lovely but seemed grossly overworked, doing nearly everything. Reception was never staffed. A most odd experience all round.
