Booked this hotel a couple of hours before arrival. Read other positive and negative reviews so was quite prepared. I enjoyed stay as hotel was excellent base for visiting the city center and surrounding areas (Views of Segovia, San ildefonso, Sierra de Guadarrama National Park). I found the staff helpfull (not overly friendly but who cares). The rooms were spacious and clean. My room on the 3rd floor room had a view of the city (see night shots of aquaduct and the Cathedral). There was sufficient parking space in the evenings. What could have been better. The modestly filled mini bar. The walking distance to room (Got lost once) . The outdated bathroom. Allthough the breakfast service was good, the area used was wasn’t nice (no windows and TL / CR lighting). However everything served it purpose. Would rate this 3,5 on the scale if possible.
Our group arrived in the evening of early April 2025. Hotel seems to be fine but worst experience with the staff at the dinner. They were nicely dressed all in black suit but absolutely with non-smile face. Serving food as if they were angry with us for no reason. When one of us asked for a serviett, a waiter said no. There piled up on the side table. Anyway this is what I felt. While having dinner, I thought we were attending to a funeral service at this hotel. When leaving, I had to tell them. Be smile and gentle to the customers .
When I first entered I saw a very nice lobby hoping it was going to be a very nice stay for my first New Years outside home but I was wrong. The rooms were spacious but it was very hot when I entered the rooms. At 9 Pm I had the New Years dinner and the food was terrible with huge portions for each person and when it reached the time to eat the grapes, I just couldn’t eat it because it had so many bones. After the party, I kindly asked a person in the lobby to lend me a towel but he asked why because since we were many he didn’t feel like getting many. Overall, I was disappointed with this hotel and I hope the service improves soon.
