Excellent location, just steps from the sea. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel with my wife. The rooms are cozy and offer a splendid view. The breakfast is typically Sicilian, and the service is extremely friendly.
The place is super nice. I give it five stars, especially for the efforts and commitment of the new owners who are trying to bring the hotel back to excellent levels. The breakfast is plentiful. In conclusion, I had a great time and will definitely return.
Four stars? Maybe… rundown. If you're looking for a decadent post-war charm experience, this is the perfect place. As soon as we arrived, the hot water decided to take a day off. Check-in? An epic worthy of Homer: an hour and a half to discover that our reservation (with a deposit paid weeks in advance) had disappeared into the mysterious world of loose sheets of paper. Yes, they still use paper. Not for vintage decor… rather disorganization. Rooms were available “by a miracle,” the staff was kind but disorganized—it felt like everyone's first day, including the walls. The rooms? Online they look like suites from a magazine; in person… decor straight out of grandma's house, but the one she hasn't renovated since '74. Old bathrooms, damaged ceramics, an '80s boarding house atmosphere (not in a cool way). The pool? Ah, the pool! Two lounge chairs for the entire hotel (not per room: two in TOTAL), broken chairs, and seating to be had by chance. There were six of us with two children, and it felt more like we were at an impromptu picnic than a four-star hotel. Conclusion: we left after one night. We'll never return. More than a stay, it was a documentary on hotel decline. And no, the price isn't even remotely justified. If there are four stars, they must have been counted during an eclipse.
