Hotel Quirinale

Great hotel within walking distance of the train station and all of the hot spots in Rome. We went for a small room as we would mostly be travelling. Although the room was cleaned promptly every day, there was still alot of dust and the bathroom door had alot of faith clogged up between the sliding mechanism. I should also add that it was held on to the wall with a piece of wood. For a four star hotel it wasn't good to see. The breakfast each morning was amazing with a great selection to choose from and plenty of seating both inside and outside. Generally staff were friendly however some ignored us completely (even though we were speaking in Italian).

The hotel is on via Nazionale, and we found it easy to go to the sites we wanted to see from there. Both by bus and on foot. It's 9 minutes from the train station. It is an old building with charm. Staff are very helpful. Our favourites were the restaurant manager and staff who were so kind and made us feel welcomed.Maria and Giovanni and reception staff, all beautiful people. I wish i had taken everyone's names now. Rooms clean and cleaned every day. Shower and bath were both so powerful and needed after a day of walking. The hot breakfast wasn't to my liking. But I am British, lol. However, there was a good variety of bread, pastries, cold meats, cheeses, spreads, and salads. Definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is well-situated, with clean rooms, comfortable beds, and friendly, helpful staff. However, the musty smell in the rooms — likely due to the building’s age — is quite unpleasant. Another major issue is the shaky structure; whenever a car passes by on the street, it feels like the room is trembling, which can be particularly disturbing at night. The breakfast was average and not quite what you’d expect for the price. Overall, while the location is great, the hotel falls short in terms of comfort and value for money.
