Hotel Rancho Encantado

What an incredible experience. Out family of four enjoyed our stay. The tour of the lagoon was a real high-light for us. Captain Abel was a fanatic guide providing us history and explanations. His passion for the Bacalar lagoon shows. The restaurant has great service. Francisco was especially kind to the children. My wife enjoyed the massage and the kids loved the swimming.

I really lovely hotel that I already visited twice. Wonderful, big rooms. Fantastic location at the lagoon, great for swimming, kayaking, boat trips. The hotel offers quite a lot of infrastructure. Staff is very friendly and nice. I went for many swims here, which I greatly enjoyed. For better prices and more things included, book directly on their website - it's in most cases the better deal. Breakfast was good, too. I ate most meals at their restaurant and it was generally good and fairly priced. However, the menu could be a bit more varied and presentation of the dishes a bit more advanced considering the overall level of the hotel. It's a bit outside, so food options are limited if you don't have an own car (you'd have to take a taxi).

Rancho Encantado was a great pick for our first time staying in Bacalar. The rooms were spacious and the air conditioning worked great and the bed was so comfortable. We relaxed but also swam in the lagoon and kayaked. The food at the restaurant was ok even tho the service was excellent.
