Hotel Real Mercedes

The location of the hotel is pretty convenient, the front desk staff is friendly and knowledgeable. But, there are plenty of buts. They rate themselves as a 4 star hotel but they are not. There's no coffee machine in the rooms, the hotel has an elevator but it's been out of service for so long they're already using the space as something else. If you're bringing large bags pray for a ground floor room because there are lots of stairs, no ramp and no bellboy or anything of the sorts. Their hook is "breakfast included" but that breakfast is just for adults in your group, and it's a choice between toast or cereal with fruit, juice and coffee. Kids only get a bowl of cereal (or nothing if they don't like cereal). There are other options but those aren't included and they're expensive. The property allows dogs, so if you have a neighbor room with a braky dog, good luck. Plus, they have parrots and other cockatoos so be ready to be woken at 5 am with all the screaming. Beds are comfy enough, rooms lack 4* amenities, it's more like a spacious 3* hotel. It is pet friendly but definitely not kid friendly, the kid section of the patio allows smoking, so, yeah...

The parking space is very limited & difficult to park in the spaces that are available. We were put on the third floor which made it very difficult to get up three flights of stairs with the elevator out if service as welll , we asked for another room but once again they told us none was available @ the time I was looking forward to a spa they advertise which unfortunately that is also unavailable.

Dirty rooms. No elevator. Desk staff were rude. Breakfast was stale cereal, or a piece of fruit.
