Hotel Regina

Absolutely magical — Hotel Regina is an unforgettable gem tucked away high in the mountains, quite literally among the clouds. The location feels almost dreamlike, with panoramic views that shift with the light and mist, creating a sense of peace and wonder that’s hard to put into words. From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the staff was immediately felt. Everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly, attentive, and eager to make sure our stay was special — nothing was ever too much trouble, and their kindness really added a personal touch to the whole experience. The rooms are simple but incredibly comfortable — the memory foam beds deserve a special mention; we slept like babies every night. While the bathrooms are shared, they’re very thoughtfully designed, spotlessly clean, and there are plenty of them. Each shower is in its own private cubicle, and we never once had to wait or felt a lack of privacy — it was all surprisingly seamless. One of the absolute highlights was the food. Truly outstanding. Nearly everything is made using produce from their own garden or sourced from nearby local markets, and you can taste the care and freshness in every bite. It was honestly some of the best food we’ve ever eaten — not just in the region, but anywhere. The atmosphere is calm and restorative — wonderfully quiet, with a lovely terrace perfect for enjoying a drink while soaking in the views. Whether you’re coming to hike, relax, or just take in the mountain air, Hotel Regina is a perfect base. We’re already dreaming of coming back.

Absolutely incredible hotel. We loved our stay. Right next to the grocery store which was great following a long day of hiking. Walla are thin, but the building is old and they don't try and hide that you may hear your neighbors (we didn't at all). The breakfast was beyond incredible (included) with vegan friendly options. Would recommend to anyone going to the area.

We stopped here for lunch and had a beautiful moment on the terrace watching the clouds passing over the mountains. The food for us was exceptional, we are both vegetarian and the options are by far the best we have had and we live in Switzerland. Service was lovely too. Thank you, we might pop back before we go!
