Hotel Montelago offers a great location by the lake with beautiful views. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is rich and delicious, perfect to start the day. Overall, a well-maintained hotel ideal for relaxation and enjoying nature.

Stayed here towards the end of April. Brilliant communication from staff from the first enquiry I made up until we arrived. Lovely big room overlooking the lake. Very nice breakfast and helpful staff (even with my poor Italian). Overall a very pleasant stay and close to Malpensa airport without the crazy city prices. Would stay again.

Very Disappointed After 20 Years – I Will Not Return I have been visiting Italy almost every month from Australia for many years, and for over 20 years I have been staying at Residence Montelago. Sadly, that has now come to an end. On my most recent visit, a friend who originally introduced me to this accommodation came one morning to say hello. He ordered a simple espresso, and his wife had a cup of tea. To my complete surprise and disappointment, I was charged for two full breakfasts. When I explained that they only had a coffee and a tea, the staff refused to adjust the charge and showed no interest in resolving the issue fairly. After two decades of loyalty, this is how I was treated. I will be back in Ternate in July 2025, but I will be staying elsewhere. Goodbye Montelago.
