Hotel Restaurant Alt Vellern

Very nice, comfortable and very clean room (a bit "retro" style so not for those looking for modern decoration. Restaurant dishes are pretty standard, nothing to write home about. We were very pleased however with the service: the schnitzel was undercooked so I left bits on the plate but didn't have the energy to raise the issue given the language barrier (staff spoke no English nor French and we didn't speak German). The maître d'hôtel noticed that by himself, came to apologise and offered a discount. Might sound like the "standard" expectation, but in my previous experience waiting stuff would never care enough to investigate a problem by themselves and even when escalated, they'd usually politely acknowledge and mention they'd "look into it" or something similarly generic and non committal.... So I definitely think it's worth appreciating and acknowledging the behaviour at Alt Vellern !

The notation is more related to their restaurant proposing very good dishes. The rooms look fine but the old style can provide you the impression it can be refresh a bit. If you like such environment the place is comfortable and relaxing.

Rooms ok , very vintage ( it doesn't have any hot drinks inside ) Food is ok ,no big variety no beef no halal Service is ok The location is very very quiet and relaxing which is very good , however, parking slots are not that much and no dedicated parking for each room so first come first serve.
