We stayed here for 3 nights and it was wonderful. We stayed in the panoramic view king room, which was spacious, bright, and comfortable view a beautiful balcony and view! Miguel, the owner, was so kind, warm, and helpful. We really enjoyed talking with Miguel everyday. While we were eating breakfast he checked in on us and helped us make an itinerary to explore the Costa Brava area- all recommendations were on point! The hotel itself is so warm and inviting! The lounge downstairs was also a great place to drink some wine and relax. We had dinner twice at the restaurant and each time it was delicious! We will be back every time we visit the Costa Brava area. Thank you to Miguel and all the staff for making this such a special and memorable stay!
Wonderful place, it's in the nature and close to center of Begur so location is amazing. The room that we have stayed had a combination of wood and stones which we liked a lot. The service is very hospitile and warm. Very much recommended.
We visited Hotel Restaurant Galena Mas Comangau with high hopes, especially after hearing good things about the food, and indeed, the chef deserves immense credit for the delicious dishes. Unfortunately, our dining experience was severely marred by the appalling behavior of the head waiter. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was incredibly tense due to this individual. He was consistently rude, and his constant shouting and apparent terrorizing of the waitresses created a deeply uncomfortable environment. It was truly upsetting to witness. My wife became very distressed by the situation and was on the verge of tears. It's a tremendous shame that one person's unprofessional and abusive conduct can completely ruin what could otherwise be a fantastic restaurant. While we commend the chef for the excellent food, the negative atmosphere created by the head waiter makes us reluctant to return. We sincerely hope management addresses this issue, as it's a disservice to both the talented kitchen staff and the potential diners.
