Hotel & Restaurant Goldener Pflug

We have stay for one week during the exhibition. Everything was perfect. Rooms were very clean. Especially the breakfast was amazing! They put everything also everything was so delicious. If i have time again absolutely I will stay in this hotel.

Found this fantastic place close to Stuttgart and decided to try it out. First very good parking for 5 Eur in the garage below. Looks like the entire hotel is newly renovated with fresh rooms and bath rooms. AC in the rooms. Minibar with fridge, large working desk. All one can ask for as a business travveler that wants to work also in the room. I suggested to book another night immediately, as I'm staying in the area for some days. Also there is a nice typical German restaurant in the hotel. The hotel is located in the small and calm village Ludwigsburg, that has very nice countryside surroundings and is perfect for jogging or walking. I'm I will come back here again.

I am surprised there are so many raving reviews about this hotel as I found it to be rather unremarkable. Nothing outwardly went wrong during my visit, but the place had a rather cold and depressing feel throughout, despite being updated and in good condition. I would certainly not classify it as a luxury property at all, for one thing the mattresses and linens are very thin and the rooms are very plain. Breakfast was also a disappointment with no hot food - which is weird for a hotel that has not one but two restaurants in it. The gym is in a strange windowless room in the basement. The garage parking was convenient, but verrry small spots so leave the big car at home. If you’re looking for simple, clean accommodations this place will be just fine for you. But if you want something special for a vacation or romantic getaway, keep looking.
