Hotel Restaurant Landhaus Sonnenhof

Landhaus Sonnenhof is a lovely hotel tucked away in the hills just outside of Adenau, very peaceful, you can just hear the cars going round the Nordschleife in the distance which I personally loved! The staff are wonderful and the hotel, is clean. Breakfast was very good. The rooms have electric roller blinds on them which is welcome as it keeps the sun and daylight out, great if you're a light sleeper who tends to be woken by the light. They have a nice outside space where you can sit, there is a fridge that has a few beers in with an honesty policy, a nice touch.

We are here 4th time in a row. Hosts are the friendliest people we know in the area, breakfast is great, location is amazing. I have hay fever and still come here for the nature and the calm feeling, and off course for the Ring. Highly recommend!

I wanted to book this place via booking.com, but couldn’t see in the pictures if the double bed frame has one double mattress or two single mattresses. So I called the place and a man answered telling me, that if I looked better on the website, that it’s clearly stated twin or double beds. When I explained to him what I meant, he told me that he doesn’t advocate for booking.com if their information is not clear and hung up the phone. I still can’t believe how rude that was. I told him that I am in the process of booking his place and just had a question and he snaps at me and hangs up. If that’s how they treat potential customers, then we are definitely not staying there.
