I've stayed at my share of hotels and this is the only one that felt like home after a few nights. The staff repeatedly went above and beyond to make my stay better. Any concern I had, they had a solution. This went as far as coming in *after hours* to receive my late luggage when the lufthansa courier could not reach me due to an issue with my phone. There are cheaper accommodations in Gmünd, but unlikely better.
Stayed here several times when on a business trip. Definitely will come back with my family. Rooms are spacious, clean and beds really comfortable. Staff is great, friendly and flexible and at your service all time. Last, but not least, even tough Gmund is a small town, location is perfect, in a city center, with great walking paths and things to see close.
We were waiting for 75 minutes to get the food. When we finally got it, we’ve been given basic fries instead of sweet potato fries which we requested. The waitress only said “Hm.. sorry.” even though we expected her to bring new ones. Disappointing.
