Hotel Rey Alfonso X

We had a fantastic stay at this centrally located hotel in Seville—just a 3-minute walk from the cathedral! The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, greeting us at the door, helping with our luggage, and always saying hello when we came and went. We were given welcome drink vouchers and even received a complimentary bottle of wine one evening, which was a lovely touch. Our room was spotless, well air-conditioned, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The rooftop terrace was a highlight, with great views over the city, a refreshing pool, and plenty of space to lounge and relax. We’d 100% stay here again on our next trip to Seville!

Fantastic location close to some of the key sights. Breakfast was solid. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room: we had a suite or junior suite. It has some extra space (which is nice) but it's not quite as useful as it can be - the room does not have a sofa which is almost standard for suites. Talking to the staff, this is their standard setup for such rooms. A/C struggled a bit to keep the room climate - the extra room was quite fresh but the bedroom was probably 5C warmer. It was still acceptable for us though.

We stayed here for a week and don’t regret it one bit. First and foremost, the location of this hotel is fantastic. It is surrounded by some of the best restaurants in Sevilla, and is a very short and convenient walk to some of the city’s main attractions (through some lovely and cool paths). The staff were very very lovely. Two stand outs were Jose and Danny, who made our stay feel extra special and really took care of us. Not only providing great service but also lovely conversation and fantastic food and attraction suggestions. Be sure when you visit to go to the roof top, not only to make the most of the pool but also to view the sunset from the top terrace as it provides exceptional views of the skyline and of the Giralda. The rooms and hotel in general are well maintained and kept very clean. The room we stayed in was wonderful, modern, clean and well stocked. The only reason for a the bump down was that the first room we stayed in had some ants in it. This was frustrating but the staff were very accommodating and took care of us, relocating us promptly and treating us to a bottle of bubbles on the house. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and taking such good care of us. We very much look forward to coming back again.
