Hotel Riederalm

The location is superb: stunning views of Dolomites-like mountains, cable cars + great sport shops next door, but also relatively close to other nice towns such as Maria Alm or Zell am See. It is part of the larger Saalbach Hinterglem Leogang Fieberbrunn area, but a little more remote than Saalbach + Hinterglem. We visited during summer, when the Bike Park is amazing. Also a lot of activities for kids and adults on the mountains (great Senses Mountain area, mountain lake, summer toboggan and groomed trails). For winter, note that the local slopes seem to be entirely south facing. The food is gourmet, while the breakfast is one of the best I experienced. The pool and spa areas are a gem, while the children indoor and outdoor play areas are very generous. The rooms are large, comfortable and most importantly brand new, but not necessary luxurious (more storage spaces could would have been nice). Only two small drawbacks: there is no option of renting bikes with child seats (the hotel dosen't provide bikes, while the nearby shops are not kids oriented; we had to drive to Maria Alm - 20 min drive for renting a bike with child seat); some of the dinning rooms have no window/ outside view, which can be upsetting if you are allocated there for several nights and mornings. Bonus: great and accommodating staff, everything we asked was taken into consideration and they went to great lengths to accommodate our requests.

Excellent family style hotel with heated pool, water slide and playground for kids. Food and service is amazing. Will be coming back again

An excellent family hotel and spa perfectly suited for both adults and children. The food is delicious, the decor is stunning and the staff are wonderfully caring and skilled, not to mention the picturesque scenery. We will certainly return and are heavy hearted to leave.
