stay at Hotel Riu Bravo in Playa de Palma, and overall it was a really good experience. The food was definitely one of the highlights – breakfast, lunch, and dinner all had great variety and quality. Fresh fruits, grilled meats, salads, desserts – we never went hungry! There were also snacks available between lunch and dinner, which was a nice bonus. The rooms were clean and modern, and the hotel staff were kind and helpful throughout our stay. The pools and surrounding areas were well-maintained, and the hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from the beach and local shops. One thing to note for future travelers: there were no cocktails included in the all-inclusive package – only wine, beer, and a few basic drinks, and this is not the hotel’s fault. It’s due to a regional law in the Balearic Islands that limits all-inclusive guests to 6 alcoholic drinks per day (3 with lunch, 3 with dinner). So if you’re expecting unlimited drinks or poolside cocktails, be aware of this legal restriction. Still, we had a relaxing time, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was great. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a good-value holiday — just with managed expectations on the drinks!
The Riu bravo is a lovely 4* hotel with a great location, excellent food choices and good amenities. The stand out feature was the food selection. There were multiple places you could get food throughout the day and the selection was consistent, with varying dishes on certain days. Always well presented and clean throughout. The rooms were on the small side for a 4*, but still enough to be comfortable. This is not the location for families, the area has a strong German presence. Our party of 8 young adults had zero issues with this, but the area surrounding the hotel can be rowdy during the afternoon and evenings. (Always turn right along the beach as it's more Spanish!). We were awakened a few times in the early hours with doors shutting and shouting from drunk people returning from their nights out, but we knew this would be expected, being in the area we chose. Overall, it's a great all round 4*, but catered more towards the party type people.
We only stayed here for 1 night as we missed our flight, upon arrival we noticed the staff weren’t the most pleasant and seemed very uptight and almost as tho they weren’t happy we were staying, instantly we were told non of our drinks would be included in the all inclusive which seems a little wrong as we payed a ridiculous amount for the all inclusive. The room was lovely and very tidy and the entertainment was very nice, however the next day we felt again slightly uncomfortable due to the loud music being played throughout the hotel from 11am on speakers, and we could not get comfortable wherever we sat. Unfortunately I’ve lowered my review as it seems the hotel is more interested in addressing the no drinks being included in the all inclusive rather than the fact me and my partner felt uncomfortable staying here due to staff and other guests - we aren’t too bothered about the drinks not being included as we aren’t big drinkers but I think the price should reflect correctly when booking this hotel. We are more than happy to pay elsewhere for our drinks at a better quality and a great value - sadly we will not be booking with Hotel Riu again.
