I recently stayed at the Riu Palace Antilles and found the experience to be a mix of positives and areas for improvement. The beachfront location is fantastic, and the staff is generally very friendly and helpful. The food options were varied and mostly enjoyable. The breakfast and dinner buffets were surprisingly very good. However, there were a few disappointments that impacted our stay. Towel availability was surprisingly limited — getting fresh towels often required repeated requests or long waits. You are only allotted one bath towel and one tiny washcloth per day! If you ask for more, you will be denied. It is absolutely ridiculous. Additionally, the bathroom door lock in our room was broken, which was inconvenient and should have been addressed more promptly. Overall, the resort has potential and offers a relaxing atmosphere, but attention to maintenance and basic guest services like towel distribution needs improvement. With a bit more focus on these details, it could offer a much better experience.

We recently stayed at this all-inclusive resort and, unfortunately, were left pretty underwhelmed. While the check-in experience was smooth, Davidson was incredibly friendly and welcoming and our ocean view room was absolutely beautiful, the rest of the stay didn’t live up to expectations. We came to this all-inclusive to relax and enjoy everything the resort had to offer, but ended up leaving the property every day just to find better food and bars. The food onsite was mediocre at best, and the desserts were bland and flavorless. The alcohol selection was very limited, and the bartenders didn’t seem to have the knowledge or skills to make drinks correctly—which was frustrating given the cost of the resort. The adult-only pool entertainment was a complete letdown—there was a kid literally sitting on a speaker with a laptop. It felt lazy and unprofessional. Strangely enough, the family side of the resort had way better entertainment and atmosphere, which is where we ended up spending more of our time. On a positive note, our room attendant, Stella, was absolutely wonderful. She kept our room spotless and made it feel cozy and welcoming. We’ve stayed at several all-inclusive resorts before, and for the price we paid, we expected a much better experience. This resort fell short in too many key areas for us.

We were super excited about our vacation, we arrived and were put in a non ocean view although we paid for one and a double bed though we paid for a king. The next day we were moved but had no access to our belongings or an actual room from 10 am to 4 pm.both rooms towels were stained with makeup and not cleanly. Food in the buffer was good, beaches are pretty but we had UNIMAGINABLE poor service from one particular manager hostess named Maria Noel. We waited in line for the steak house at 5:30 promptly and received a beeper, we waited and waited…at 8:45 we went back to see the line to the pool. As we waited we conversated with other guests, Many had the same issues beepers that had not gone off. To add insult to injury Maria Noel was seating people behind us in line as someone in their party walked up and said thief beeper didn’t go off, meanwhile many were waiting with the same issue. When we finally got up to the front she started demeaning my husband saying the beeper did go off. Ruined the evening with her bad attitude and condescending tone. The next night we tried again, patiently waiting in line for 30 minutes. We were 3rd in line and the same rude hostess literally yelled, Yelled at us to move aside that she was only talking reservations for first seating leaving us waiting for another 30 minutes. We never even ended up eating there the experience was HORRIBLE. Who puts someone so rude at the front of the house Maria Noel needs to be spoken with on etiquette. Kenneth at the front bar was very nice, he is almost the only positives to say other than the beach is pretty. We experienced poor service and the wrong room and limited access to the next, not was we wanted on vacation, read the reviews before booking
