Hotel Riu Palace Calypso Adults Only

The hotel was in a lovely position, directly on the beach, very clean, quiet, and modern. The staff (reception, cleaning, and kitchen) was incredibly polite, kind, and available, always ready to help with any issue. The food was absolutely wonderful!! Did not expect such tasty food from a hotel but it was honestly perfectly cooked and seasoned, and really varied too!! The pool area was always perfectly clean, with space for guests to relax under the sun or under the shade (nice palm trees area). The beach itself was very lovely too, clean and not too crowded. Overall had a wonderful time at Calypso and would come back!

Just returned from a week at this beautiful hotel. First thing I will say is that this hotel absolutely caters to its German guests more than anyone else. I’d say 95% of guests there were German. All the servers and staff know how to speak German and the majority of entertainment is in German. This is of course absolutely fine, however we would’ve loved to have been able to participate in activities and entertainment a little more. The location of this hotel is absolutely superb. Morro Jable beach is literally steps away, so convenient. The food was good. It was always fresh and tasty, though again, did cater to its German guests more than anyone. The staff are lovely. Extremely friendly and helpful. Massive shoutout to Teresa on the front desk who helped me locate my missing suitcase (easyJet’s fault). They go above and beyond to ensure you have a fabulous time. The rooms are super spacious and the balcony is huge! Our rooms were cleaned thoroughly everyday and we couldn’t praise the housekeeping team enough. The only real gripe I had with the rooms was the strength of the air con wasn’t excellent but still comfortable. There are two main lifts that service the resort and I have to admit… they are a little painful. Sometimes can take up to 10 mins to get a lift. There doesn’t appear to be a service lift for staff, so a lot of the time housekeeping are using them too. All in all, a beautiful resort in a stunning spot. You’ll have a lovely time here… but if you’re looking to meet other couples and get involved with fitness classes or enjoy the entertainment, it will be in German. Still a wonderful hotel with tons to offer!

Terressa front desk and Beglian gentlemsn/Alejandro nightbar/Beautrice restaurant Rose in Kitchen and a tall beautiful black young waitress from Dominic Republic these are the stars that rescued my 7 years anniversary trip with my partner. Check in was chaotic. Air-conditioning in first offered ,(with an aweful view)room was broken. Second room breathtaking view Air-conditioning was broken than temporarily fixed.Mini bat was 10⁰ Arrival day.. Our first on many miscommunication at the pool bar got us prepared for the whole trip.Ordering two tapas recieving one. This is a German customer based hotel so be prepared for German entertainment. Food all in all was good a bit greasy but fresh. I've listed the names of all the staff above you should make yourself familiar with. Avoid the Restaurant managers (pointed his finger at me for using a clean wine glass to drink a fresh juice from the breakfast buffet which i already paid for in the price of my stay(the normal glasses smelt fishy) and Poolbar Manageres short changed us by 10 euros this piss me off because we'd check out and that was our last drink at the pool looking at the beach and dreaming about returning next year 2025 for Christmas even after some many hickups.
