Just returned from an 11 night stay at this hotel, this was our second time staying here and I am so glad I chose this hotel again. The staff were very friendly and welcoming particularly Carla who runs the children’s activities and the waiting staff. There was one waiter in particular who made my three year old look forward to coming to dinner every night! In addition, we stayed in a sea view room which I would recommend, the room was always cleaned to a very high standard and there were no issues with the room. I loved the hotel facilities and the close proximity to the beautiful beach however you must be physically fit due to the amount of steps. Food was really delicious and varied every night, the only thing I would say is that for those with dietary restrictions such as myself, the options were sometimes limited and on one occasion, the labelling was not clear, however the chef clarified which options contained pork so I was able to avoid. My favourite thing was the delicious desserts, my son enjoyed the ice cream! We will definitely be back to visit again, the town is nice and quiet if that is what you are looking for and the hotel has everything you need. Thank you for your hospitality Riu Palace Jandia ❤️.
To put it in simple terms, it was the best Hotel I’ve ever been to. Thank you for the hospitality.
We spent 7 nights at this hotel as a young couple. The lobby and the rooms appeared to be renovated and pretty nice. However, you could see in other areas, for example the hallways, that it’s an older hotel. But this was a non issue. The room was spacious. However, we booked a room with sea view but were given a room on the first floor with direct view of the pool and show area. The view of the ocean was almost completely obstructed. We asked for another room but were told that this does count as a sea view room and that all other rooms were occupied. The fact that we paid much more for specifically a sea view room and then to not get one was a disappointment. The breakfast buffet had a good variety and many fresh options. The dinner, however, was disappointing. The food was often bland and overcooked, and it was almost the same every night. It did not meet our expectations of a 5 star hotel. The distance to the beach was good. There are shops in close proximity but other than that there is not much to do. Also, be aware that this hotel caters mostly to older people (60+) which made for a quiet and calm atmosphere. The service and the drinks from the bar were always great.
