From the moment we arrived at Hotel Riu Palace Riviera Maya, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. We were greeted with warm hospitality and a welcome cocktail, instantly setting the tone for a relaxing, luxurious stay. Check-in was seamless, and free parking just outside the hotel made arrival even easier—though be prepared for a short walk and slight incline to the main entrance. The cleanliness of the resort truly stood out. Every corner of the property is meticulously maintained, with staff constantly at work to keep everything spotless. Even after a rain, we saw workers mopping the outdoor common areas—an impressive testament to the resort’s commitment to excellence. Our room was immaculate, and the level of service throughout our stay was simply unmatched. The dining staff went above and beyond, always attentive and anticipating our needs—our glasses were never empty, and every meal, whether a la carte or buffet, was delicious. The variety and quality of food and drinks were outstanding, and having access to other nearby Riu properties was an added bonus. This is all-inclusive done right—flawless service, pristine surroundings, and a truly welcoming atmosphere. We’ll absolutely be booking again.

Great experience overall. Beautiful hotel, the beach is beautiful, the only thing to be aware of is the amount of seaweed that accumulates, however, the hotel is cleaning it up every day and it didn’t smelled. We had access to another 3 resorts, one of them has a club. The food I would say it was good, the restaurants are really good, good drinks. The things that we love the most: the cleanliness in the room and facilities, everything is clean. The service was excellent! Everyone is always asking if you need anything, if they see you with an empty hand, someone will ask you if there is anything they can do for you. We travel at least once a year to Mexico and for the affordability the Riu is a great option. My only complaint is the they are a Pepsi resort and I’m a coke drinker lol!

Facilities were nice but not much to do. Hard Rock hotel has much more options for entertainment and dining. The restaurants are very small, menu extremely limited, food passable at best and portions ridiculously tiny. They are also so small that they fill up immediately. The buffet, while expansive, had terrible food. Pork was raw one day (no rare, raw in the middle), same with beef. If not raw, meats were so overcooked that they were completely dry (especially ham and chicken). The worst dining experiences of any of my vacations...and I have traveled a lot. The pools were nice but good luck getting a chair unless you get up at 7am to reserve a chair. Drinks were too sugary and watered down. Staff and facilities were very nice.
