Hotel Riu Sri Lanka All Inclusive

I recently stayed at Riu Ahungalla Hotel for a short getaway, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The location is truly stunning, right by the beach with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. It's a great place to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the southern coast of Sri Lanka. The all-inclusive package was very convenient and made the stay stress-free. Food and beverages were available throughout the day, and I was quite happy with the variety and taste. The buffet had a good mix of local and international dishes, and the bar service was friendly and efficient. However, I was not fully satisfied with the housekeeping service. The rooms were not cleaned as thoroughly as I expected, and there were some delays in getting basic items restocked. Despite this, the staff in general were courteous, and the facilities were well-maintained. I would consider returning if housekeeping improves, as everything else was enjoyable.

We recently stayed at Riu Sri Lanka for 7 nights. Overall, it is a fantastic hotel as it is great value for money being an all inclusive only. The facilities were absolutely great, the swimming pool was the warmest I have ever swam in any hotel. The entertainment was very good, putting on shows every night isn’t always that easy but the team did a great job. The room service was fantastic, on arrival our safe was low on battery and this was immediately resolved. There are just a couple of things which could be improved to hit that 5 star mark. Whilst the food was overall great, a wider variety and a change of different foods each night would be much better. Ended up eating the same food again on a daily basis. Perhaps try to make food choices slightly healthier, such as more vegetarian options along with small adjustments such as less volume of cheese on the pizzas,etc. Also, despite us requesting for a quiet room, we were placed in an upgraded sea view room, which was lovely, but right near the entertainment, which was very loud until 11pm. Please try to accommodate guests requests beforehand so there is no disappointment. Also, it would be helpful should reception be able to arrange a taxi service, from the hotel! This would save guests trouble trying to organise taxis by themselves for their return journey home or for any excursions. All these small adjustments would make this hotel an outstanding one, but overall this hotel was fantastic and we hope to return again soon!

Recently stayed @ RIU Ahungalla. I would say overall it was average. Main Lunch and Dinner Buffets were not satisfactory at all with a very limited spread. Don't be surprised to see the same food items served during your stay. They basically serve the snack items in the breakfast and Lunch buffets in the snack buffets. Room quality was average, but needs a lot of improvement. There were no carpets on the floor and in the bathroom. I really doubt as to whether they change the blankets and other accessories as they didn't smell fresh. I felt rooms seriously need renovation to give a modern look. Pools were really good and kids can have a wonderful experience in the kids pool. Pool bar too was really good serving a range of beverages. Finally, I would say it's a good experience to have. But, don't expect high from their slogan "all inclusive 24 hr dining".
