Stayed here for my girlfriends birthday and we can not speak highly enough of this hotel and our experience staying here. The staff were amazing and so welcoming and friendly, the reception staff were particularly helpful and made such an effort to make us feel welcome and gave us helpful suggestions such as where to go, how to get a bus into town and even helped me to download an app and book tickets online. This is just a small example of the staff at the Rocce Sarde going above and beyond to make us feel special. The breakfast was great, it was the same every morning however had a good variety of pastries, cakes, fruit, yoghurt, fresh juices and hot food with a member of staff on hand to make fresh omelette's. They bring you fresh coffee (the cappuccino was 10/10). They also had a little station for a special item every morning which would change daily. The highlight for me was the setting and location of the hotel. Being up in the mountains the hotel had STUNNING views and the most amazing scenery. The hotel grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Walking around the hotel was a real joy and felt very authentic. Our room had a great balcony where you could sit out and look over the mountains. The pool area was also stunning with lots of foliage and greenery. The hotel runs a shuttle bus into the nearest town and also to the nearest beach completely free of charge which was great and super convenient. Also lots of parking spaces, however I would 100% say you need a hire car if you are going to stay here as it is quite remote. The only point of feedback that I can think of for the hotel is that the pool bar was closed anytime we tried to go down, other than this our stay was perfect and I cannot thank the team at the Rocce Sarde enough for making my girlfriends birthday one to remember.

We stayed at MYO Hotel Rocce Sarde and overall had a pleasant experience, mainly due to the beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The hotel is ideally located—quiet and perfect for relaxing, yet close to all the infrastructure and stunning beaches of the area. However, the hotel building itself is quite old, and the rooms felt more like a 2–3 star level in terms of comfort and furnishings. The overall condition of the rooms did not meet expectations for a 4-star hotel. The breakfast was unfortunately a major downside: very limited variety, low in quality and quantity. Items were often empty, the coffee was cold and tasted bad, and there was no fruit salad or fresh options. While the omelet lady was friendly, the rest of the breakfast staff were not particularly welcoming or attentive. Additionally, the pool bar was always closed, and the sun loungers had no cushions, which made relaxing by the pool less enjoyable. On the positive side, the reception staff were friendly and helpful, and the location truly is perfect for rest and recharge. In summary: a great place to unwind thanks to its location, but not ideal if you're looking for comfort or a good breakfast experience.

I don't usually write reviews for accommodations, especially pointing out areas for improvement, as I prefer to use this tool to encourage business at places I like and where I've been treated well and received proper service. However, this time is different. The hotel is located in a quiet area, just a few minutes' drive from San Pantaleo, and it looks very nice from the outside. Upon checking in, we realized there are no elevators - my mistake for not noticing before booking. We reached our room (4th floor), left our luggage, and asked to have the beds separated (no problem). When trying out the bed, we found that the beds are old, hard, and uncomfortable, so we asked the reception if it would be possible to change rooms because the beds were terrible and we were on the 4th floor. They told us the hotel was fully booked and it wouldn't be possible to change rooms - this information was not correct: the hotel had availability on all booking platforms, including their own website. Then they told us they would bring a foam topper for the beds to solve the problem. The foam never arrived; instead, they brought a blanket to put underneath to make it "less hard." I asked at reception, and they said the blanket was what they intended to provide. Well, at this point, I'm killing mosquitoes in the room and trying to figure out how they're getting in since we haven't even opened the window. I'm not bothering to notify reception because given the bed issue, I can't imagine how they'd handle the mosquito problem. From a 4-star hotel, one expects a certain level of service and quality customer care, but I don't see this hotel meeting even half of what is expected. In summary, I do not recommend this hotel at all - the beds are terrible, and the reception staff's willingness to help is nonexistent. This is a bittersweet taste. I don't recommend the stay.
