Hotel Rosso 23

Rosso 23 Hotel staff: My family and I had the most wonderful experience, courteous, generous and outstanding experience. Breakfast was a very unique and most delightful service and food. Service was very pleasant with very polite and attentive staff. Room balcony views to the Santa Maria Novella were spectacular. The employees were amazing and provided all their care and detailed attention to our questions and needs. This was the most pleasant experience in any vacation that we have taken so far. Despite of all bad reviews that I read about this hotel, I personally would like to add 5 stars. I got big room with the Cathedral view. Hotel is in historical building, we'll maintained. They provide rooms with water still and sparkling. Great choice on breakfast menu plus choice of coffee. I will consider to come back again.

Overall, the hotel is in a good location, with everything quite close by. However, the hotel itself is not in great condition, especially the rooms — it’s a bit old and doesn’t seem to be well-maintained. It looks like some parts of the hotel have been renovated, but not the rooms. Housekeeping service is only available in the mornings — otherwise, the room won’t be cleaned. Breakfast offers several options to choose from, but it’s not a buffet. Every day it’s the same. The breakfast staff is very friendly and kind. Check-out is at noon with no option to extend it.
