The room and hotel were pretty good, clean nice room and comfy bed. The spa section was really nice, naked but men/women's sections. The "gym" is two treadmills, not sure you can call that a gym to be honest. Good place to stay, but let down by parking; $570 for less than 24 hours for a SCOOTER is atrocious. If you come here, don't park here. Convenient and even though the hotel isn't associated with the parking company, the fact they didn't work out a deal/the deal didn't apply to us somehow will make me rethink staying here again. The final impression is the one that stays 😕

Positives: Rooms are beautiful and the beds are comfortable. The pullout table Is great. Loved the in-room hotspring. Their Bluetooth speaker (bird cage) is adorable. Location is great. Staff are friendly and attentive. Breakfast is decent. Negatives: Expensive Shortstaffed Hotspring is extremely small, fits maybe 12-15 bodies all squished together, it’s not very relaxing at all; tiled floors in the hotspring and changing area are very slippery (saw an elderly grandma slip and fall, thank goodness she didn’t break anything😱) Health and Safety is not well thought-out and poorly designed… Room/staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hotspring ⭐️

Not a great start. Arrived to check in at 15:30. Was told the room was not ready. Receptionists need training in how to deal with guests and how to solve problems. Was given a voucher for a coffee downstairs in the lobby. The lobby appears to be full of people not staying in the hotel. Uncomfortable seating. Was given my coffee in a paper cup. I had to ask for sugar, the guy behind the coffee counter told me he had no sugar. I went to the outlet next door and they gave me some. Put the sugar into my paper cup of coffee and realised I had no spoon.. It is not 5 star so far. Update: the room key I was given did not initially work. 2nd update. Did not have the password for the room WiFi. Went to reception to ask for it. Was told just to use the general hotel WiFi. Said I did not want to as it was an unsecured network. Was told it was OK we all use it. Reiterated that I did not want to use an unsecured network. Was then given the password. In a 5* hotel you should have this information on your checkin slip. I don’t need an argument to get my wifi password! The password is not secure. Now I have been given mine I know the password for adjacent rooms. I could join their network and visa versa. So not really secure…. 3rd update: Went to the bar on the 11th floor. Ordered a bottle of red wine. 22:00 was informed the bar was closing. 22:10 was asked to drink up and leave. A bar in a 5* hotel asks you to leave at 22:10? Really? 4th update. So one can of our group complained about the password situation and they changed the passwords to make them secure. But they did not tell us. So when I woke up at 03:00 and tried to use my finance sites I could only use the unsecured hotel network as I did not have the updated password for the room WiFi. At 03:00 that is really, really annoying. Guests get very impatient waiting for the lifts. They would be improved by having a floor indicator. The lifts would not arrive faster but the guests would know where they were. The room was a good size and the bed very comfortable with good bedding. Slightly bizarre and dysfunctional layout with the toilet and wash basin at one end and the shower and hot tub at the other. Hot tub was good. Breakfast was good and the service was good. Potentially a good hotel but the staff need training and probably sending to Japan or the USA to experience high quality service. You get the impression that they do not know the service standard required. If they do not know it they will never achieve it. There are better hotels to stay in.
