Hotel Royal Classic Osaka will definitely be my go-to place every time I visit Osaka, Japan. I stayed in a Queen Premium Non-Smoking Room with the breakfast package for one week, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience. The breakfast was fantastic—delicious and varied each day. While I didn’t get a chance to visit the bar/lounge located on another floor, it looked like a great spot to unwind. The room was spotless, and all the essential amenities were provided, making my stay very comfortable. The hotel also offers convenient services such as laundry and luggage transfer, which is perfect if you're traveling to another destination in Japan. The location is outstanding. Right across the street, you’ll find plenty of shopping, restaurants, and bars, making it easy to explore and enjoy the city. There is a FamilyMart connected to it where you can get supplies, food, etc. There is also an ATM to withdraw money on. Plus, Namba Station is adjacent to the hotel, with direct elevator access from the building itself—super convenient for getting around. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Royal Classic Osaka. It combines comfort, service, and unbeatable location all in one.
Room Type: Standard Twin Non-Smoking (323 sq. ft.) Cost: $1,270 for 4 nights (during Golden Week) Why It Worked: Yes, this hotel was pricier, but it was 100% worth it for the location and amenities. A FamilyMart on the ground floor and direct subway access made getting around Osaka super easy. Located walking distance from Dotonbori and Namba nightlife. Bonus: We discovered a rooftop bar with panoramic views and inventive cocktails (one even came with a bubble you pop and a sweetness syringe!). The Disney music on the self-playing piano made the experience feel like a dream. Price for two drinks: ¥3,920 (~$27) after the 10% guest discount.
My family and I just stayed here for 5 nights on the 19th floor in a Premier Room with Sofa Bed. The location, as mentioned by others, can't be beat. Having direct access to Namba station was incredibly convenient and Dotonbori and Namba were at our doorstep. We also really enjoyed the buffet breakfast, which helped us fill our bellies before a full day of exploration. However, I want to share concerns about cleanliness and air/HVAC quality in the rooms. Immediately as we walked down the hallway, I noticed a huge layer of dust/white powder on the floor where the carpeting met the walls. When we entered the room, it smelled intensely of mint and antiseptic/cleaner. I also noticed a dusty smell throughout our time there and the air purifiers did not seem to help alleviate ot. After our second night, my daughter, myself, and my husband began suffering from allergic symptoms. Sneezing, cough, sore throats. I heard others suffering at breakfast each morning. All symptoms we had would go away the minute we left the hotel. If you have any sensitivities to dust or room allergens, I would recommend looking elsewhere. It's unfortunate because the location and beds were very nice!
