A fantastic holiday! Thank you very much Hotel Royal. The owner and staff are so lovely and are always so welcoming. It was great to be back again. We have been making an annual visit for many years since residing in Singapore and will continue to do so now we are relocated back in the UK. The rooms are spotless, so comfortable and with great facilities. We had an excellent dinner and the chef is to be commended. The location is excellent. We can’t wait to come back.
Location and service is great. But the room is super small.
Very rude and abrupt reception. We booked direct to get the "extra special offers". 12pm check-in to be told come back at 2pm. The website says 15 Euros for parking we got told 30. Street parking is only 25 for the day. The rooms are small and not well designed. There are two A4 pages of house rules. We saw a TV on and looked for the nuxe we think we found it but within 30secs of being in there get confronted by recepection in quite an aggressive tone what are you doing here. We tried to find the gym and got told it's fully booked by people paying for spa facilities.which would leave the free map as he only perk we could get. We did not even get that. There are 3 different check out times. Reception told us 10. Sheet on room wall said 10.30 and the guest book says 11. Breakfast is alright. Just watch the eggs as you have to cook them yourself. People did not realise this and got raw egg everywhere.
