The hotel starts with great location – 30 mins to beaches, 30 mins to mountains. All the way from the road AS-115 comes with signs on the each corner, easy to reach even if you don’t use navigator. The hotel is finely decorated, a room is spacious (superior one), astonishing views to mountains either from the room, either from the meadow, which is just next to the villa. It was a truly pleasure to have walks around after breakfasts and enjoy the immediate access to the nature. The spot is quiet, the only sound around – cowbells, which complement a village ambience to immerse. Breakfasts are decent and tasty. Staff are super friendly and welcoming from the very first step. Special thank you to receptionist Ana Paola for the local recs! Appreciate team work of El Pandal to indulge my staying. See you next fall!
El Pandal is simply a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. It is a little complicated to reach, and I recommend following the signs on the road rather than google maps' advice, but what a lovely location! The hotel is in the middle of a large piece of land with a beautiful, productive chestnut grove that I loved walking through. We had a superior double room with balcony and it was delightful: spacious, comfortable, clean, relaxing, nice spacious bathroom (with two washbasins!). The views were lovely and so was the soundscape, with the tinkling of cowbells and sheepbells and so much birdsong. I really enjoyed being in such a remote place, yet within easy reach of great hikes and the Picos de Europa. The welcome from the hotel owners was very warm. We stayed three nights and it was our favourite place in a three week trip. I agree with some reviewers that breakfast could be a little more interesting, maybe varied with cheese instead of ham for instance. But I would go back to El Pandal in a heartbeat! We enjoyed the family-friendly hike El Camin Encantau, which goes nearby, very much!
Like staying in a cosy cottage in the countryside. Very charming, very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly, and the views were magnificent. Breakfast was also very good. Highly recommended
