Hotel Rural El Tejar de Miro

We spent a weekend there, and the place is very charming. The breakfast was delicious and the pool area was very cool. The town is small, but there are plenty of things to do in the surrounding area. The owner was very pleasant and friendly.

Excellent Casa Rural El Tejar, with very good service and attention. The rooms are as expected, clean and tidy. Outside, there is a meticulous display of the local tile makers' work, from the preparation of the clay to its firing in period kilns. You no longer have any excuses to learn about this tile-making art. You can park up to three cars inside the grounds; otherwise, you can park outside without any problem. A good experience that we will repeat in the future. The possibility of installing a charging station for electric vehicles is highly recommended. Wi-Fi with very good coverage. We enjoyed an excellent breakfast.

We had a reservation for our entire family, including three children and a pregnant woman. Unfortunately, two very serious fires broke out two days ago and continue to burn out of control very close to the hotel. Yesterday, I contacted the property to request a change of dates while maintaining the full reservation payment, but the owner refused to change the date, claiming that the smoke was drifting in another direction and that the fire was still 21 km away (it's currently only 9 km away). We were within our rights to cancel, but would be charged the security deposit. Obviously, we prioritize the safety of our family over the €290 we had to pay. But I believe she should also prioritize the well-being and safety of her guests over her own financial interests.
