Hotel Rural Quinta do Silval

We spent 2 nights here the other weekend and loved every minute of our stay. Rui made us feel at home and was close by whenever we needed assistance. The rooms were basic but comfy and clean with fantastic views across the valley. We spent most of our Saturday afternoon in the pool and relaxing around it, followed by a fantastic meal in the evening accompanied with great wine from their vineyard. We will definitely be back to visit the hotel.

An absolutely wonderful stay in a beautiful location. The hosts were truly wonderful, very attentive and accommodating for our stay. Sitting at the pool, reading and spending time taking in the breathtaking views with a bottle of wine.

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed by the owners themselves, who are hands-on and genuinely attentive to every guest. Originally, we booked just one night, but we quickly extended our stay—it's that special. The wine is phenomenal, and the winery tour offered a fascinating glimpse into the estate’s rich history, dating all the way back to 1870. The fine dining experience was world-class, with local flavors perfectly paired with their own award-winning wines. What truly sets Quinta do Silval apart is its setting—one of the few quintas with a pool and a separate kids' pool, complete with tiki umbrellas and loungers overlooking endless rows of vineyards in every direction. It was perfect for our family, offering both relaxation and a uniquely Douro experience. Breakfast was a delight each morning, featuring fresh fruit from the garden and a variety of local offerings. The rooms were well-equipped, cool, and comfortable. And the grounds? Absolutely stunning—lush gardens and blooming roses line every pathway, creating a peaceful, picturesque atmosphere.
