Hotel Rural San Pelayo

Lovely Hotel, fantastic dinner and breakfast! Highly recommended! We re-planned our trip to come back again on our way back home to stay here for another night.

We enjoyed a few extremely pleasant days at this hotel, decorated with exquisite taste. If you're looking for peace and relaxation, this is the ideal place. In the surrounding area, you'll find interesting attractions: Tiedra, its castle and lavender fields, Urueña, the city of books, Tordesillas... Thank you, Richard, for those delicious dinners and your excellent service. Highly recommended without a doubt.

We booked a 1 night stay in this establishment in August 2020. When we arrived at 20:30 at night the doors were closed and we had to call for the woman to come. When she did she told us that there was no working electricity and that the lights etc wouldn’t be working.At this point let me point out that at no point in the day Gad she contacted us to inform us of this issue, as if we had known we could have made an alternative arrangement. She said we could still stay there and we could get a “discount”. We chose to leave as we wanted to be comfortable that night so we drove the 3 hours home after she had promised us a refund. Then the problems began-us messaging her our bank details but no refund, excuses, more excuses, more excuses after that, the blame on Booking.Com, the blame on us for filling out a form that booking.com sent us, telling us she couldn’t give us the refund because booking.com wouldn’t waive the commission charge for her. It is probably the worst experience I have had with a hotel that I didn’t even get to stay in. And still no money back 2 months later.
