Hotel Rural Sisapo

Lovely bike friendly hotel near good restaurants and bars in the centre of town. Good facilities for coffee, cake and water in the quad, which is a stand out feature. The property is well finished and clean, with a variety of rooms available. This includes some with baths, a must on a long bike tour. If you want to treat yourself, there is even a spa bath room. A bonus is a good bike shop 5 minutes ride/15 minutes walk on the southern edge of town. Worth a visit even if nothing needed.

We managed to get the Paradiso room, which was modern, bright and OK. Tried first to book via hotel Web site, got a confirmation, then a message that the hotel was full (which it was not). Booking.com had rooms available so we booked there, but an hour before arrival it was cancelled because "the hotel could not bill our bankcard". We just showed up anyway and could choose between rooms. There is no breakfast served (and only in 1 bar in town on a Monday morning). The swimming pool is only open July and August, they said. Note on "Free parking": it's a public car park, 350 or 900m away depending on coming or going. The town itself proved to be a challenge for dinner.. Turned out that on that Sunday, only 1 restaurant/bar served dinner, all the others were closed. And we were the only ones in town eating dinner there.

lovely little town motel. each room is different, cheap and cheerful. Breakfast self service and poor, not even a coffee machine.
